The Hits Keep Comin'!

The Hits Keep Comin'!

But we're not talking about Top 40 songs of the week. Nope. These hits are bone-jarring enough to make your whole team feel it. Stone Cold Hockey has quickly found its place in the table top community and now it is coming to PC!

 * Release is still on-track for October 31st.
 * Pricing has not yet been determined.
 * Will be available at ASG Games (check them out!)

Thanks to the wizardry of Richard Hanna at Roo Games, our dice and chart game has been beautifully translated to the screen. This will allow you to replay more games and more seasons, faster, while effortlessly compiling the records and stats. You may engage select games manually to enjoy highlight-driven moments, or you may auto-play games as desired to keep your season moving along.

Note: Team logos are not included and they must be user-installed. Some elements of the game are still subject to change. But as the saying goes... the pictures below should be worth several thousand words!

Travel Advisory

I'll be on the road from the 22nd to the 29th. Any hard copy orders received during that time will be shipped on Monday the 31st.

Looking ahead, here are the priorities on which we are currently working:

  1. Dice United Ratings Guide
The draft is about 40% done and progress is moving along nicely. We are looking for a couple more D.U. players to help with testing and proofing. If you are interested, let me know. The play-test phase may begin as soon as Friday, the 21st. Target Date: PDF-only in late November.
  2. LOB: 2010's Kings of the Ring
This set is still at 40% draft completion. Since LOB is currently out-of-print, we're not sure if this is the right time to press forward with it. We may push this release out to better align with "LOB20", but that may also depend on further developments with the PC version of the game.  We shall see...  Target Date: TBD
  3. More Seasons for SCH
We hope to get a couple more sets produced before the end of the year. Right now, 1967/68 seems to be the most requested season.  1976/77, 1978/79, 1992/93 and the WHA have been mentioned as well. If you have a favorite season, let us know.  Target Date: Mid-December
  4. Dice United: 2022 World Cup
The U.S.A. is back and expectations are... low. But hey, their back in it! Seriously though, the road to the grandest of all tournaments seems like it has gone on forever, so now the football world is poised, finally, to see what happens in Qatar.  Target Date:  January 2023
  5. Dice United: MLS 2022
    Target Date: February 2023
  6. LOB 20th Anniversary Edition (LOB20)
We can hardly wait to dive into this project! Much has been learned over the past couple decades, and especially in the past 5 years. We want to apply some of that experience to make LOB more polished, more dynamic, and perhaps even smoother to play. There will be much more to come on this in 2023.  Target Date: 2nd Quarter
  7. Shrapnel
In the early design stage, we are currently piecing together ideas to utilize the Modiphius 2d20 gaming license for a robot battle game that is all twisted and metallic.

Yep, there's lots going on.   You're busy.  I'm busy.  The less I write, the quicker we can both get to work. Thanks for following SMP!
